Friday Letters: Fall and Rockstar Fail

OH THANK GOD, FRIDAY, you’re here.

Anyone else glad Friday is here? I told Rob EVERY NIGHT this week that it felt like Friday night so you can imagine my horror when it was only Tuesday, Wednesday etc. But WE MADE IT. *tooting horns and tossing confetti*

You know the drill, Friday letters he-yah! (my attempt at a Boston accent. Unsuccessful.) Linking up with Ashley.

Dear BLOG FRIENDS, Your replies on my blog yesterday completely turned my week around. Every single comment meant SO much to me because I have a hard time sharing certain things on the blog sometimes but I’m so glad I did. I can’t thank you enough and I treasure all of your wonderful thoughts and advice!

Thank you dear friends! Source

Dear Old Navy, I am kicking myself SO HARD because I missed out on $20 Rockstar jeans this past weekend. Because I’m clearly insane, I decided to try on Rockstar jeans for the first time yesterday after I realized I missed the sale and they were now $34.94 and my life is changed forever. If you haven’t tried on Old Navy Rockstars, you haven’t lived. They feel like pajama pants. Take it from the curvy girl! (FYI, I walked out without the jeans. I just couldn’t do it for $34.95… sigh)

Dear Fall, First you took forever to get here and now you come with a fury. I’m not even ready! I don’t have tights or leggings or even my jackets pulled out yet. Also, is it just me or does weather anything other than it being sunny make you feel sleepy too? Sigh. I want summer back already.

Something about this little guy just resonates with me. Lol

Dear fellow viewers of the debate, Politics is something I don’t get into much but I couldn’t help but think of one thing the entire debate… one of the candidates sounded a litttttttle like a used car salesmen. Lol do you hate me now? Sorry I couldn’t help it. Let’s still be friends! Honestly, the biggest achievement of the debate? I got Rob to listen to 2 hours of political talk! That’s not easy my friends.

Dear October, I got some planzzz for youuuu. Joining my dear friend Melissa with her lists of monthly goals. I’m keeping it pretty simple.

Dear readers, I need your help. Thanks to my unbelievably generous Bestie Auva, I got this Michael Kors bad boy for my birthday:

Auva knows me well and said she already included a gift receipt because she knows it’s expensive for a bracelet and I might want to get store credit and put it towards a purse (we know each other reallllly well). But the catch is that I FREAKIN LOVE IT. But $95 for a bracelet is beyond my comprehension. It’s absolutely gorgeous on but I don’t know if I can do it. So I’m enlisting your help, would you keep a gorgeous bracelet like this knowing it cost that much?!

This weekend my little brother has a laser tag birthday party so you can BET I’ll be channeling my inner Barney Stinson. HIMYM anyone?

What do you have planned this weekend??

Happy Weekend everyone!

Friday Letters: What’s the big box behind my TV?

Happy Friday everyone!

I know I didn’t “create” much on the blog this week in the midst of my deathly illness and my birthday so I apologize there wasn’t more content as opposed to me babbling on about my life. Thank you for stickin’ around, I promise next week I’ll feature a recipe or two! For now, Friday letters! Linking up with Ashley.

Dear Google+, You became INSTANTLY cooler last night when I had my first Google hangout with my girlfriends. The google effects were hiiiiilarious. Who doesn’t want to have a conversation wearing a virtual moustache, pirate hat and monocle? Who knew Google + was useful for something?!

Dear iPhone 5, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Got your tracking e-mail and you’re in Mather, CA! I’m praying that means you will be on my doorstep by tonight! (I know, I’m late to the party. Not my fault cough *SPRINT*)

Story of my life

Dear Grey’s Anatomy fans, I know I brought this upon myself but Rob and I are still in Season 8. I’ve got the DVR set so we can catch up in real time soon! I love you all so dearly but it forces me to stay off twitter completely on Thursday night when you’re all screaming “OMGGGGGG ______ is gone!” Lol. I know I have no one to blame but myself.

Dear Disneyland, You and I have SUCH a special relationship and I love you with all my heart. But when our season passes are over, I’ve decided Rob and I can’t renew. I’m going to probably shed a tear or two about that in May but it’s time for Rob and I to see more of the world. I made it one of my 25 before 25 goals that we would travel internationally and we can’t save for that if we keep going to LA. So we’re going to go Disneyland-CRAZY until May 2013 but after that, we’re going to have to take a break. I want some pizza in Italy.

Dear Technology,

Thank you Rob for ushering me in the future.

Dear Evani (yes, talking to myself now), I’m SO proud that you didn’t cry when you got your TB test placement this morning. Clearly being 24 means you’re an adult now. Way to go kiddo.

And just out of curiosity, take a quick second and vote in this poll PLEASEEEEE! 🙂

What are you weekend plans?! I don’t really have any and I’m SUPER excited for that! New TV + Netflix + Football + Bed!

Have a great weekend ya’ll!

Friday Letters: Sicky Sick, Bleh.

Happy Friday everyone!

Let’s just get down to it, whaddaya say? Friday Letters ya’ll. Linking up with Ashley.

Dear Throat, Strep?!? SERIOUSLY? I hate you. Okay I take that back, let’s just get better ASAP. Because let’s face it, I’m a Whiny McWhiny pants when I’m sick and I’m tired of myself already.

Dear Elle, Thank you for the nail polishes! That mint color was just what I was looking for! Thanks Megan and Angela for hosting All Lacquered Up!

Dear Ahi Poke, As soon as I can swallow again I’m coming for you.

Dear bloggy friends, I need help! Looking to print business cards. Where do you recommend? I want a card with rounded edges…

Dear Sister President, Sister Deltas, Loved our reunion, missed chu girls! 🙂 Happy Birthday Jackie!

Dear Halls Honey Lemon Cough Drops, It’s you and me baby. All day/night/weekend long.

Okay lezzzzz be honest people, you don’t want to read about my never-ending love for cough drops. I’m in misery but I shouldn’t drag you down with me. Here’s some fun links instead.

These gold leaf jars are incredible.

I want these LOVE letters!

For those of you TOMS lovers, check this out!

This is happening if I ever have a boy!

Decorating tip madness, this is ridiculously awesome.

In case you missed it, my posts this week:
Mani Monday: Neutral Inspiration
Get to Know Me with Me, Myself and I
Disney Photos Galore
Wine Tasting and Sombreros

What do you have planned for this weekend?

I’m going to live vicariously though you since I’ll be curled up in the fetal position eating a million cough drops.

ALSO, I might be going self-hosted this weekend (If I can stare at my computer long enough to do it) so if there are issues with the site, hang in there! (If you are WordPress and have moved to self hosted, I welcome ALL advice!)

Happy Weekend!

Read my Friday Letters, Honey Boo Boo!

Friiiiday, friiiiday, gotta get down on Friday…

If you’re lucky unlucky enough to know what song I’m referencing, I’m so sorry. But it is indeed Friday! Which means it’s a good time for Friday Letters!

Dear Target commercial, thanks for the giggle I get every time I see this commercial. My favorite part is “backpack” squeezed in at the end.

Dear Honey Boo Boo, I’m trying SO hard not to laugh during the show because it makes me feel like I’m laughing at you and your family directly which I mean, I kinda am. But your family is HILARIOUS. A pet pig named Glitzy? GENIUS. [source]

Dear Amazon Prime, you will ruin me! It’s just too easy to purchase everything online and free two day shipping is BOSS. But come Christmas shopping time (basically starting in September!) I’ll be thanking my lucky stars for you.

Dear Washi Tape, I want to own ALL of you. There isn’t a washi tape I encounter that I don’t want to purchase. Help feed my addiction, where do you buy your washi tape?? Emily’s post made me hungry for more!

Dear Radio, here is the running list of songs I can NO longer listen to: Maroon 5 “Payphone”, Anything by Rihanna, Gotye “Somebody that I use to know” and Pitbull “Back in Time”. Those songs need to retire, STAT.

Dear Katrina, Pugly Pixel is my new OBSESSION. I will spend all weekend religiously learning everything you’ve ever posted. Gah, you are a Photoshop Goddess. Best blog find this week, hands down!

Have you watched Honey Boo Boo? Any songs on the radio you just can’t listen to anymore? Feel free to share a new blog you’ve been loving!

Tomorrow is Saturday…And Sunday comes after…wards!

Thank you Rebecca Black for that insightful knowledge of the days of the week.

Friday Letters: Olympics, PLL and Football

Happy Friday everyone!

Every week I cling to the fact that there IS a Friday and hallelujah for that! I took a mini bloggy break yesterday (because who really reads my blog daily 😉 ) and I have to say, it was lovely. I don’t want to blog just to fill up space so I’m going to shy away from writing entries that I’m not invested in. So that means hopefully more high quality entries at the risk of less entries overall. What do you think? Do you expect bloggers to blog daily?

On to Friday Letters!

Dear Olympics, YOU ROCK. I cannot believe how much I enjoy watching everything, even if I’m hours behind. Women’s gymnastics is my FAVE. Makes me want to attempt a cartwheel and fail miserably.

Dear Shay Mitchell, why are you so unbelievably beautiful?! I swear I watch Pretty Little Liars just to stare at you and Lucy Hale. That and because I cannot leave a mystery unsolved (I hate love myself a little for starting this series).

Dear luggage from Utah, unpack yourself, will ya? I’m so overwhelmed with the idea of unpacking you.

Dear Rob, one of the millions of reasons I love you is that you buy all the practical things I’d never own without you. This Mini DisplayPort (girls say whaaaat?) has made my blogging/netflix-watching a million times better. It turned my desktop monitor into a 2nd screen for my MacBook Pro = life changing.

Dear Blog friends, thank you for adding to my life in a wonderful way. Every comment, e-mail and tweet means so much to me and I might be driving you crazy with all the thank yous but I mean every single one!

Dear French Fries, we’re through. Despite my extreme love of everything you are, I’m quitting you for August. I know its only a small token of friendship I can offer to my health but it must be done. And for the record, it’s not me, it’s you… you and your golden goodness.

Dear Football season, let’s go! 33 days and counting… Ordering my Peyton Manning jersey ASAP. This is my dream season and I can’t wait! Any other football lovin girls out there??

Link up with Friday letters here!

Have a great weekend everyone!
