So I survived the weekend, justttt barely. I can’t wait to recap all of it but until I get my photos edited, you’ll just have to sample my Mani Monday. It’s been SO long since I’ve done one, and trust me, my nails were in need.
So I know I can’t stop talking about OPI Mermaid Tears, so I’m sorry it appears yet again. But I loved this mani because the Essie Shine of the Times almost makes my nails seem like mermaid scales! Do you see it too or am I completely nuts? I’m seriously in LOVE with every Essie luxeffect, Dawn from Vapid Vixen gave me this one is a fabulous swap!
I’m sorry I don’t have more for you today! Don’t worry, pics of the weekend are coming (complete with me in a sombrero).
Also Fantasy football females, our draft happens tomorrow night so get ready! Make sure you have your team created by tonight at the latest. I’m sending out an email today 🙂
So this month I decided to be adventurous and join a few blog gift exchanges. I’m a big fan of Alyx over at Everyday is a New Adventure (seriously watch her vlogs, she’s hilarious) so I decided to join in with Christmas in July. We filled out a brief questionnaire and off we were to buy for our partners. Today, I’m happy to share the wonderful gift I got from Dawn over at Vapid Vixen!
First off, I LOVE these colors. It’s like Dawn just knew. The Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times was the only Luxeffects I didn’t own. The pink Peach Daquiri is the color I’m wearing in the last Mani Monday too (the color other than the baseballs, obvi).
Secondly, this gift exchange completely made me love learning about Dawn and reading her unbelievably witty blog. She’s an office prankster, outdoorsy lady who loves picking fights with gym owners. She’s even punched a man in the stomach and caused internal bleeding (and made it totally funny to read about). Her razor sharp sarcasm is all that and a bag of chips and I guarantee, she will have you cracking up in no time. Plus she clearly has a knack for choosing nail polish colors.
I love the idea of gift exchanges, they’re a really fun way to get to know other bloggers and just to get some new swag! Do you do any gift exchanges? Have you really enjoyed any of them?! Share please! 🙂
In case you’re wondering for some vague reason, my brother and his team nabbed win #3 today! One more win tomorrow and they’re in the championship for Regionals!
Come back tomorrow for a yummy post! 😉
Have a great day!
P.S. I tried with ALL my might to respond to all your wonderful comments but I didn’t realize how far BACK I was having to comment on. I’m sorry for not staying current! I’m super sorry if I didn’t/don’t respond back to your comment from posts a week or 2 weeks ago, I just don’t know how relevant it will be anymore. I promise I will try to stay more current with it! Please e-mail me if you wanted an urgent response from me and if I completely failed to get back to you! I am a fail whale.
What better way to start a week than with a giveaway?! 🙂 As I’ve mentioned before, I LOVE using Essie’s Set In Stones in many ways but especially as an accent nail because it’s the perfect mix of small and big chunks of silver glitter. Here it is on top of one of my favorite peach OPIs!

How was your weekend? Mine was a little uneventful, which at the time was what I wanted but I kinda wish I had done a little more with my weekend. I think that’s how I always feel when it’s my time of the month. Generally unfulfilled. Haha…
Did you get a chance to read the fabulous guest post from my friend Maša yesterday?
Every once in awhile, something comes along that just rocks your world. For me? Essie’s Set in Stones! Fact about me: I have slight OCD tendencies and I like to have just one brand of everything. So prior to this Essie, I only bought OPIs. But Set in Stones was too good to pass up and I love it! It’s the perfect glitter for accent nail or for doing a glitter french manicure. Snag one today!
Color: OPI Argenteeny Pinkini/ Glitter: Essie Set in Stones
The best part of this mani is that when you start chipping, its super easy to just paint the tips again with Set in Stones. And it doesn’t require a lot of precision either! Good for a starter mani for sure.
