Friday Letters: Fall and Rockstar Fail

OH THANK GOD, FRIDAY, you’re here.

Anyone else glad Friday is here? I told Rob EVERY NIGHT this week that it felt like Friday night so you can imagine my horror when it was only Tuesday, Wednesday etc. But WE MADE IT. *tooting horns and tossing confetti*

You know the drill, Friday letters he-yah! (my attempt at a Boston accent. Unsuccessful.) Linking up with Ashley.

Dear BLOG FRIENDS, Your replies on my blog yesterday completely turned my week around. Every single comment meant SO much to me because I have a hard time sharing certain things on the blog sometimes but I’m so glad I did. I can’t thank you enough and I treasure all of your wonderful thoughts and advice!

Thank you dear friends! Source

Dear Old Navy, I am kicking myself SO HARD because I missed out on $20 Rockstar jeans this past weekend. Because I’m clearly insane, I decided to try on Rockstar jeans for the first time yesterday after I realized I missed the sale and they were now $34.94 and my life is changed forever. If you haven’t tried on Old Navy Rockstars, you haven’t lived. They feel like pajama pants. Take it from the curvy girl! (FYI, I walked out without the jeans. I just couldn’t do it for $34.95… sigh)

Dear Fall, First you took forever to get here and now you come with a fury. I’m not even ready! I don’t have tights or leggings or even my jackets pulled out yet. Also, is it just me or does weather anything other than it being sunny make you feel sleepy too? Sigh. I want summer back already.

Something about this little guy just resonates with me. Lol

Dear fellow viewers of the debate, Politics is something I don’t get into much but I couldn’t help but think of one thing the entire debate… one of the candidates sounded a litttttttle like a used car salesmen. Lol do you hate me now? Sorry I couldn’t help it. Let’s still be friends! Honestly, the biggest achievement of the debate? I got Rob to listen to 2 hours of political talk! That’s not easy my friends.

Dear October, I got some planzzz for youuuu. Joining my dear friend Melissa with her lists of monthly goals. I’m keeping it pretty simple.

Dear readers, I need your help. Thanks to my unbelievably generous Bestie Auva, I got this Michael Kors bad boy for my birthday:

Auva knows me well and said she already included a gift receipt because she knows it’s expensive for a bracelet and I might want to get store credit and put it towards a purse (we know each other reallllly well). But the catch is that I FREAKIN LOVE IT. But $95 for a bracelet is beyond my comprehension. It’s absolutely gorgeous on but I don’t know if I can do it. So I’m enlisting your help, would you keep a gorgeous bracelet like this knowing it cost that much?!

This weekend my little brother has a laser tag birthday party so you can BET I’ll be channeling my inner Barney Stinson. HIMYM anyone?

What do you have planned this weekend??

Happy Weekend everyone!

Current Crush : Things I’m Lovin

Happy Thursday everyone!

I am SO happy the end of the week is almost here but I have about 1,000 things to do before my family leaves on Saturday morning so I’m feelin a little swamped! Mostly because I couldn’t think of a more concise category, I decided to roll with a Things I’m Lovin current crush and I hope you find something you love too!

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8

I am SO close to splurging and buying myself the Erin Condren planner that every blogger says they can’t live without. I even got a tweet from @ErinCondren last night encouraging me! Also as if I needed MORE from Michael Kors, I didn’t know they had a MacBook Pro case! I swear that man designs things just to steal Rob’s my paychecks. Hehe…

Sunday Confessions: To keep or not to keep?

 Happy Sunday Ya’ll!

I’ve been on a mental vacation since Thursday night so I apologize this weekend entry is coming at ya so late! I thought I’d do a Sunday Confessions link up for the first time.

1. I finally chose relaxing with friends and enjoying time with my family over blogging, for the first time in WEEKS and I feel guilty. But also incredibly relaxed and joyous.

2. I have a $100 Michael Kors bright teal wristlet glaring at me because I bought 2 different colored clutches as a gift for one of my best friends and she chose the other color (I had every intention to return the one she didn’t want!). But everyone that knows me know teal is my color and its beautiful! However I feel incredibly guilty for having a clutch that costs $100! Help me make a decision, to keep or not to keep?!?

3. I gave up fast food since the beginning of June (with 1 cheat day a month) and I’m starting to get cravings. I wish I could say I was one of those people who find fast food disgusting but honestly I don’t and I won’t apologize for that! What I would do for an In N Out protein style burger… Any fast food you love?

Link up with Alyx today!

See you all tomorrow for Mani Monday!

Simply Obsessing: Michael Kors

Happy Friday readers!

My obsession with Michael Kors is a late blooming one. For years, I watched him on America’s Next Top Model and loved him as a judge but my obsession with his products began last year with my first purchase of this bad boy in the luggage color. What wins me over the high price tag is the high quality leather and endless inside pockets of his purses. One of my best friends Vicky is the  one who got me hooked and I haven’t looked back since! I’ve been dying over all the lovely things that Michael Kors makes lately so I thought this entry was fitting.

1/2/3/4/5

I can tell you from experience the Michael Kors Large Hamilton bag (#4) and the Essential zip IPhone wristlet (#5) are absolute must haves! A bag like Hamilton (and yes, I actually call my purse Hamilton) never goes out of style, it’ll be classic for years to come. I actually got this IPhone wristlet for Christmas but I wanted the capabilities to pull my phone in and out easily to snap photos so I exchanged it for the essential zip instead. It’s perfect for going out AND for easy accessibility for those of us photo-happy people.

Instagram Blog Hop

This week I decided to take place in a few linky parties, including this Instagram blog hop with the wonderful blogs of Let it be BeautifulThe Pink Elephant and A Night Owl. It’s supposed to happen on Tuesdays but I missed this Tuesday so I thought I would do it today!

Click on the button below to participate and join in!

I’m so obsessed with Instagram and the simple but amazing photo editing capabilities it gives users.  And yes, Dive Bar in Sacramento legitimately pays people to dress as mermaids to swim in the pool above their bar! Also, if you ever happen by Sacramento, stop at Leatherbys and have a caramel sundae. It will rock your world.
If you have Instagram, find me @EGatsby88!

Lastly, I’m not a public person when it comes to deeply personal things but my Grandma is in the hospital and we could really use any and all prayers to help her get through. I’m the type of person to usually close up when it comes to things that are hard for me but I know she could use all the good thoughts and prayers she can get. Thank you.

Have a good weekend readers!
