Mani Monday: Spread the Polish Swap

Happy Monday everyone!

I absolutely LOVED my weekend but there definitely is something to be said about getitng home and getting back into a schedule. I figure that everyday routine is what makes vacation so special anyways! So today, I’ll be catching up on e-mails, tweets and that unbearably high number in my bloglovin count. Wish me luck!

Today is the link up with the lovely Rachel and Carly for the wonderful polish swap reveal. I was paired with the fabulous Nilda of Laughter, Love and Necklaces. I told her I was a neutral fans and she sent me her favorites in this adorable pouch!

And because I was clearly having wayyyyy too much to paint my nails on vacation, I’ll share some of my neutral nail inspirations. Can’t wait to try out the neutrals Nilda sent me! 🙂 Thanks girl!

Left/Top Right/Bottom Right

Which one do you like more?? Thanks Rachel and Carly for hosting a great swap!

I am feeling so backed up on posts lately and it’s stressing me out a bit. I still haven’t posted pictures from wine tasting and the wedding and now I have this GIANT pile of Disney photos I’m dying to share. Sigh. All of this is coming, I promise! Maybe I’m just building anticipation?

How was your weekend?

P.S. Pre-ordered my iPhone 5! I just couldn’t resist. Any one else pre-order too? I need a new case now too…sigh.

Christmas in July Reveal

Happy Thursday ya’ll!

So this month I decided to be adventurous and join a few blog gift exchanges. I’m a big fan of Alyx over at Everyday is a New Adventure (seriously watch her vlogs, she’s hilarious) so I decided to join in with Christmas in July. We filled out a brief questionnaire and off we were to buy for our partners. Today, I’m happy to share the wonderful gift I got from Dawn over at Vapid Vixen!

First off, I LOVE these colors. It’s like Dawn just knew. The Essie Luxeffects Shine of the Times was the only Luxeffects I didn’t own. The pink Peach Daquiri is the color I’m wearing in the last Mani Monday too (the color other than the baseballs, obvi).

Secondly, this gift exchange completely made me love learning about Dawn and reading her unbelievably witty blog. She’s an office prankster, outdoorsy lady who loves picking fights with gym owners. She’s even punched a man in the stomach and caused internal bleeding (and made it totally funny to read about). Her razor sharp sarcasm is all that and a bag of chips and I guarantee, she will have you cracking up in no time. Plus she clearly has a knack for choosing nail polish colors.

I love the idea of gift exchanges, they’re a really fun way to get to know other bloggers and just to get some new swag! Do you do any gift exchanges? Have you really enjoyed any of them?! Share please! 🙂

In case you’re wondering for some vague reason, my brother and his team nabbed win #3 today! One more win tomorrow and they’re in the championship for Regionals!

Come back tomorrow for a yummy post! 😉

Have a great day!

P.S. I tried with ALL my might to respond to all your wonderful comments but I didn’t realize how far BACK I was having to comment on. I’m sorry for not staying current! I’m super sorry if I didn’t/don’t respond back to your comment from posts a week or  2 weeks ago, I just don’t know how relevant it will be anymore. I promise I will try to stay more current with it! Please e-mail me if you wanted an urgent response from me and if I completely failed to get back to you! I am a fail whale.

How was your weekend? Mine was a little uneventful, which at the time was what I wanted but I kinda wish I had done a little more with my weekend. I think that’s how I always feel when it’s my time of the month. Generally unfulfilled. Haha…

Did you get a chance to read the fabulous guest post from my friend Maša yesterday?

Hope you have a great start to your week!

Mani Monday: Strawberry Margarita

Happy Monday everyone!

I wanted to be so much more ambitious with Mani Monday today but hey, you win some, you lose some. I bought OPI Strawberry Margarita as part of my  20% off Ulta coupon shopping spree purchases. I’m loving it as the ultimate summer color so far, so here it is!

Colors: OPI Strawberry Margarita & Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors

It felt like a good week to have a silver accent nail and Sonia Kashuk Smoke and Mirrors will NOT disappoint! It’s a really color-rich silver (almost foil-like in nature). 🙂

Link up with Heather and Heather today!

I had such a fabulous weekend, starting with my brother’s All Star team winning the NorCal State Championship! He pitched 6 innings, threw an insane number of pitches and I couldn’t be prouder. I spent most of the time clutching the fence, yelling encouraging phrases at him like a crazed mom. And then I proceeded to burst into tears when one of the umpires came up to me and commented on how supportive we were cheering for him, even when it looked like he couldn’t go on. I am a SUCKER for those moments (I’m a total crier, in case you were wondering).

Today, we spent the day by the pool at the lovely Reinwald residence (teammates of Evan, practically our 2nd parents now!) and BBQing it up in great company. There is NOTHING better than being poolside with your laptop, writing blogs, having great conversation. Thank you to our eternally gracious hosts for sharing their home with us, the Reinwold family!

What’d you do this weekend? I’d love to know!

Have a great start to your week friends!

Mani Monday: Set in Stones

Happy Monday everyone!

Every once in awhile, something comes along that just rocks your world. For me? Essie’s Set in Stones! Fact about me: I have slight OCD tendencies and I like to have just one brand of everything. So prior to this Essie, I only bought OPIs. But Set in Stones was too good to pass up and I love it! It’s the perfect glitter for accent nail or for doing a glitter french manicure. Snag one today!

Color: OPI Argenteeny Pinkini/ Glitter: Essie Set in Stones

The best part of this mani is that when you start chipping, its super easy to just paint the tips again with Set in Stones. And it doesn’t require a lot of precision either! Good for a starter mani for sure.

Check out this amazing manicure done by Heather over at Glitter and Gloss! Stop by her blog and link up!
