I absolutely LOVED my weekend but there definitely is something to be said about getitng home and getting back into a schedule. I figure that everyday routine is what makes vacation so special anyways! So today, I’ll be catching up on e-mails, tweets and that unbearably high number in my bloglovin count. Wish me luck!
Today is the link up with the lovely Rachel and Carly for the wonderful polish swap reveal. I was paired with the fabulous Nilda of Laughter, Love and Necklaces. I told her I was a neutral fans and she sent me her favorites in this adorable pouch!
And because I was clearly having wayyyyy too much to paint my nails on vacation, I’ll share some of my neutral nail inspirations. Can’t wait to try out the neutrals Nilda sent me! 🙂 Thanks girl!
Which one do you like more?? Thanks Rachel and Carly for hosting a great swap!
I am feeling so backed up on posts lately and it’s stressing me out a bit. I still haven’t posted pictures from wine tasting and the wedding and now I have this GIANT pile of Disney photos I’m dying to share. Sigh. All of this is coming, I promise! Maybe I’m just building anticipation?
How was your weekend?
P.S. Pre-ordered my iPhone 5! I just couldn’t resist. Any one else pre-order too? I need a new case now too…sigh.
So I survived the weekend, justttt barely. I can’t wait to recap all of it but until I get my photos edited, you’ll just have to sample my Mani Monday. It’s been SO long since I’ve done one, and trust me, my nails were in need.
So I know I can’t stop talking about OPI Mermaid Tears, so I’m sorry it appears yet again. But I loved this mani because the Essie Shine of the Times almost makes my nails seem like mermaid scales! Do you see it too or am I completely nuts? I’m seriously in LOVE with every Essie luxeffect, Dawn from Vapid Vixen gave me this one is a fabulous swap!
I’m sorry I don’t have more for you today! Don’t worry, pics of the weekend are coming (complete with me in a sombrero).
Also Fantasy football females, our draft happens tomorrow night so get ready! Make sure you have your team created by tonight at the latest. I’m sending out an email today 🙂
Despite my undying love for dresses and sandals, I can’t HELP but feel so excited about fall fashion lately. My mind is constantly thinking about my fall sweaters and cardigans. I decided to link up with the lovely ladies Carly, Kristen, Niki & Rachel for Loving Lately and I need to purchase these stat!
I’m feeling a little anxious for fall because my birthday is coming up. Another year older, le sigh. And even more of a reason to get my bee-hind in shape (who knows when wedding bells will ring 😉 ).
Yesterday, I went to a “Hot Hula” class at the gym for the first time. I actually used to do Hula and Tahitian in high school so I was like “no prob, just an easy workout to ease myself back in.” WRONG. Within the first 5 minutes, my quads were on fire. I remember hula being a decent workout but my hip joints definitely don’t have the flexibility they used to. It was a challenge and my back does hurt a little this morning from popping out my bootay (lol) but overall, I feel good.
Also, Rob and I watched The Vow yesterday and I liked it! Everyone knows Channing Tatum is a hot piece of man candy but I wasn’t entirely sure about his acting skills in a chick flick (and no I haven’t seen Dear John yet). Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised and it definitely got Rob and I conversing about what we would regret most if something tragic happened to us tomorrow. I was overjoyed to hear his answer was the same as mine (I’ll leave you to wonder what that was). It’s silly but sometimes even a romantic movie can make you suddenly feel very lucky to have everything you do.
Lol (I could find a good source but here’s where I got it)
Do you love sweaters as much as I do? Have you seen The Vow? How do you feel about Channing Tatum’s acting chops?
I spent most of last night working on a craft project that I’m excited to show you! That means that blogging took a backseat so for Current Crush today, I used Polyvore for the first time. INCREDIBLE! So much easier than creating my own collages in Photoshop. Further proof that I pick the HARDEST way of accomplishing things. Anyhoot, here’s some fall essentials I’m dying to own!
Link up with the lovely Danielle!
Current Crush: Fall Fun
I’ve really grown to LOVE layering in the fall, especially because the fabrics of winter are SO forgiving (knits and leggings FTW!). Nothing like an oversized sweater thrown over a tank top and some brown boots. I LOVE summer even with the sweltering heat but every once in awhile, fall just feels so good. Plus, when the weather changes it reminds me that Christmas is right around the corner (Oh yea, I went there. I mentioned Christmas in August, hate me if you will). 29 days until Fall hits!
What part of fall fashion is your favorite? Boots? Sweaters? Leggings?
Happy Thursday loves!
P.S. Thank you for ALL of your encouraging words on yesterday’s post! Each little bit of encouragement is pushing me harder (I drank over 80 oz of water by 4 pm…crazy!) and I’m so happy to hear other bloggers want to jump on the fitness train with me. I’m going to think of some ways that we can share some of our fitness tips and support each other. 🙂 Stay tuned.
I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! Mine was spent exactly as it ought to be, relaxing. Rob and I spent a majority of the day lounging around after leisurely sleeping in and then going to Elk Grove Park for the fireworks show with my family. My Dad grilled up some steaks, red potatoes and we picnicked until the fireworks at night. Heavenly…
So for today’s current crush, I’ve been really into statement necklaces. Especially the J.crew bubble necklace that EVERYONE owns! My favorite way that statement necklaces are styled is with a neutral colored top but a bright pop of necklace and other accessories. Case and point, Jessica over at Lovely Little Things in this outfit. She’s rockin it right?!
Do you have a favorite? I’m loving the coral one from Francescas, it would compliment so many different outfits. If you recommend any places to buy affordable and cute statement necklaces, leave me a comment and let me know!!
How’d you spend your 4th of July? Hope you had a great one!
